A Census is a survey taken once every 10 years and it is important that everyone completes their questionnaires. The census captures information about households across England and Wales, which is then used to plan and fund public services such as health, education, housing and social care.

This will be a 'digital first' census, where people are encouraged to respond online if they can. Every household will be sent a letter with an access code. If you or anyone you know needs help, a wide range of support services will be available.

Please share this information with friends and family. Due to Covid restrictions and in the absence of communal gatherings, census completion will have to rely on 'on-the-ground' contacts - trusted individuals - to support those who might not be able to complete the census without help.
